In the film two siblings find themselves in a dreamlike state aboard a sinking ship that evokes memories of their common traumas of the past. The ship as an embodiment of their relation, brings them together in a dialogue to find recollection and forgiveness. “High Lake” examines how collective visceral memory is altered by guilt and shame and how these feelings can become physical manifestations.
